Founded in 1991 and located in Evergreen, Colorado, Bernardo Asset Management (BAM) is a boutique alternative investment real estate securities firm specializing in 1031 Exchange Replacement Properties utilizing the Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investment structure which is appropriate for 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. Wayne Bernardo is the owner of Bernardo Asset Management and is a Registered Representative with Saxony Securities, Inc. He has been in the real estate investment securities industry since 1983. Wayne has participated in several millions of dollars of public and private securitized real estate transactions while working at two large NYSE member firms and as an independent advisor and owner of Bernardo Asset Management. Wayne holds securities licenses Series 7, Series 24 and Series 63.

 

About Wayne

Wayne resides and works in Evergreen, Colorado. He has served as Chairman of the Ambassador Committee of the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Leadership Evergreen, which offers participants opportunities to learn from and interact with community leaders and organizations to enhance and strengthen their leadership skills with the goal of addressing issues that impact the Evergreen area mountain communities. He is also a former Rotarian.

Originally from the Berkshires, Wayne graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He moved to Colorado to enjoy the Rocky Mountain lifestyle. Wayne and his wife Catherine have two grown children, Natalie and Nick, and their Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Summer Breeze. He is an avid fly fisherman, golfer, enjoys skiing, traveling, cooking, watching live sports and spending time with his family, good friends and of course, Summer Breeze.
